Cost effective HIP. A cost calculation study for AM parts

Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) has been used for several decades within different industries for a wide variety of applications.
Cost effective HIP. A cost calculation study for AM parts.

During the recent years it has become an important post process for metal additive manufacturing (AM). The HIP process eliminates internal defects in additively manufactured material, resulting in superior material properties, such as improved fatigue, ductility, and fracture toughness. In many demanding AM applications, HIP:ing is both a requirement and a necessity to achieve the required properties and material performance.
