In this position, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including detailed design of mechanical components, product development and concept creation. Working closely with product owners, you will be responsible for establishing and managing product structures, as well as bringing Quintus products to life. Collaboration with suppliers will be essential to find optimal solutions. Additionally, you will participate in cross-functional projects with colleagues within Quintus, ensuring that designs meet the required standards and safety regulations. Your role will also involve ensuring user-friendliness of the products.
You will create 3D models and drawings in NX. Teamcenter is used for PLM. You will conduct risk assessments and adhere to the Machinery Directive for CE marking of the products.
Collaboration with colleagues in Engineering will be crucial, as you work closely with Product Management, Procurement, Customer Service, Field service and Production to ensure successful system deliveries. Within Engineering you team up with colleagues from Mechanical Engineering, Automation & Electrical Engineering, Fluid Systems Engineering and Calculation & Simulation.
Reporting to Mechanical Engineering Manager Petra Oskarsson, you will join a team of 30 skilled professionals. Engineering is responsible for developing and maintaining Quintus products based on the requirements of product owners. The company is making significant technological investments in the coming years to enhance existing products and introduce new ones.
Your profile
You have a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics. You have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an industrial setting, working with 3D modeling of concepts and products, continuous product improvements and product development.
You have good knowledge in materials and experience in change management, life cycle management and sustainability. Experience with welded steel structures and fluid mechanical systems is advantageous. Experience with designing layout routing of cables and pipes including installation material is valuable.
You are a proactive and driven team player with a genuine technical interest and good communication skills. You are flexible and motivated to solve both simple and more technically complex problems. Since the role involves a wide range of tasks, it is important that you enjoy working both theoretically and practically.
You speak and write Swedish and English fluently. The work may involve a few travel days per year.
