Background
The QIH product range consists of several different systems and components. Many of them are cross used between the product sizes to gain advantages of scale. Some parts are product size dependent, meaning a unique set of parts per press type. However, there might be opportunities to modularize these parts to fit multiple product sizes.
Task Description
The target of this thesis is to analyse existing chassis and develop a concept to increase the cross usage of the content in between the different product size. The study should consider different aspects of the supply chain, such as manufacturing, assembly, packing and shipping to gain a full cost and throughput comparison.
The concept should also be optimized for a low weight to minimize the environmental footprint. The concept is expected to be designed in 3D CAD.
Suitable Background
Master of Science with specialisation in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Production Development or similar.
